Abstract

Abstract Single-chain phosphocholine amphiphiles which possess rigid segments in the hydrophobic portion formed disk-like aggregates, which are different from lecithin vesicles. When the rigid segment was azobenzene unit, trans-to-cis isomerization changed some membrane characteristics.
