Abstract
Abstract The crystal structure of the title compound has been determined by X-ray analysis. The absolute configuration of the complex cation is found to be Λ-δδδ. In the crystal four oxygen atoms of the tartrate anion face the three axial N–H hydrogen atoms of the complex cation and the bromide anion is placed underneath the three axial N–H hydrogen atoms of the reverse side. Thus, around the complex cation the local “[Co(en)3]Br·d-tart” block is formed.
