Abstract
Abstract The selectivity of various oxide catalysts for the isomerization of 3-carene were studied at 50–200°C. 2-Carene was predominantly formed over MgO, CaO, SrO, Y2O3, La2O3, and ZrO2, while p-cymene and various menthadienes over Ce2O3, Tio2,Al2O3, and SiO2–Al2O3. BaO, ZnO, and ThO2 produced only p-cymene, but their activities were very low.
