Abstract

Abstract Metal salts of heteropolyacids are active catalysts for the conversion of methanol into hydrocarbons. Though the activity depends on the kind of metal salt, the reaction mechanism for the conversion is common to most of the metal salts, and the active centers are probably Brönsted acid centers.
