Abstract
A high microscopic resolution of electron spin resonance (ESR) imaging was obtained by inserting small field gradient coils into a microwave cavity. Anti-Helmholtz coil pairs with diameters between 0.5 mm and 4 mm and spacing distances of 1 mm-3 mm produced a field gradient of 20 T/m (2 kG/cm) at a pin-hole region. The resolution of less than 1 µm can be obtained for the signal of DPPH particles. One dimensional imaging was tried using the colloid signal of NaCl irradiated by X-rays to indicate the possibility of microdosimetry.
