Abstract
The transcription process can in theory be used for genetic mapping on the “intraoperonal” level. We have shown that such an approach, utilizing actinomycin D to create blocks to the travel of the transcription enzyme, is indeed feasible, and the effects of actinomycin D on the synthesis of general pulse-labeled RNA are reported herein.
