Abstract
Two polymorphic forms of the adduct of 4,4?-bipyridyl with nickel(II) ethyl- xanthate were isolated, one of which is capable of trapping a molecule of benzene, diethyl ether, acetone, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, or cyclopentadiene. The adduct of 1,10-phenanthroline with nickel(II) ethylxanthate forms 1:1 compounds with benzene, toluene, chloroform, and chlorobenzene.
