Abstract
The microwave spectrum of the acetylene–HF complex in the ground vibrational state has been assigned using a pulsed Fourier transform microwave spectrometer, employing a Fabry–Perot cavity and a pulsed supersonic nozzle as the molecular source. Acetylene–HF is T shaped, probably having C2v symmetry at equilibrium with the HF subunit, making a hydrogen bond to the midpoint of the acetylene triple bond.
