Abstract

The effect of the forces, added at the end of a cylinder, upon the velocity of the wall of the cylinder was not taken into account in a previous calculation [J. Chem. Phys. 32, 1626 (1960)]. We correct for this. The purely theoretical result is contained in Table I.
