Abstract
The primary oxidation and reduction products were identified using ESR and ENDOR spectroscopy in single crystals of chloropropionamide X irradiated at 4.2 °K. The oxidation product is the radical produced by removal of hydrogen from the amide group. The reduction product results from a dissociative electron attachment process which also produces Cl−.
