Abstract
SUMMARYAn apparatus for the separation of free antibody from the virus‐antibody complex is designed and tested. It is demonstrated on the influenza virus‐antibody system that the technique is not biassed by systematic errors and is equally suited to kinetic and thermodynamic measurements. The sensitivity and reproducibility of equilibrium filtrations are evaluated statistically.
