For comparison, our CCSD(T)/6-311++G(d,p) calculations showed that the trans form of HOOO•was also slightly more stable (ΔE= 0.25 kcal/mol) than the cis isomer:  (trans), H−O1= 0.970, O1−O2= 1.535, O2−O3= 1, 244, H−O1−O2= 98.1°, O1−O2−O3= 109.6°, H−O−O−O = 180°,E= −225.63351 au; (cis), H−O1= 0.974, O1−O2= 1.497, O2−O3= 1.261, H−O1−O2= 99.2°, O1−O2−O3= 111.8°, H−O−O−O = −9.9°,E= −225.63311 au.
