/ Phys. Rev. B by Ankudinov (2002)- It is noted that the ratios of the plasmon to zero-loss peak vary slightly (from 0.28 to 0.31) among the time-series spectra, partly due to the loss of species and partly due to a drift of the specimen. However, the illumination area (∼1.0μm) is much larger than the area (∼20nm) confined by the collection aperture of spectrometer. Therefore, a slight drift does not induce any artificial results.
