AFM surface images were made with a Dimension 3100 Series Scanning Probe Microscope from Digital Instruments.
The [110] and [11̄0] directions were distinguished via wet-etch profiling, observation of “bowtie” defects on the sample surface, and knowledge of the parent wafer orientation. No conflicts arose.
