Abstract

AbstractThe development of biocatalytic reactors for the conversion of high concentrations of water‐insoluble reactants is at the same stage that systems for water‐soluble reactants had reached almost a decade ago. There are still many problems and much research to be done before we fully understand such systems. Nevertheless, we can confidently expect to see new commercial processes with multiliquid biocatalytic reactors during the next decade.
