  23. The reported numbers of surface Pd atoms were estimated based on the number of Pd atoms per particle and the assumptions of either hemispherical or truncated bipyramidal Pd nanoparticle shapes. In the case of significant discrepancy between these shapes the range of the calculated parameters corresponding to these assumptions is given.
