  19. The two methylene groups of the Ru‐An‐Ru complex show chemical shifts of 5.67 and 3.85 ppm ([D6]DMSO) respectively. In the case of the Ru‐An‐Ru μ‐peroxo‐compound these resonances are replaced by a more complicated pattern in the region of 4.4–5.1 ppm ([D6]DMSO). These ‐CH2signals comprise at least three different AB systems because of restricted rotations induced by the μ‐peroxo formation.
