Monoclinic P21/c;a= 1385 b= 1586 c= 2670pm β = 114.95°Z= 2. Intensity measurement: Nonius‐CAD4; the crystals employed contained 4 molecules of solvent benzene per unit cell and effloresced at room temperature; the measurements were therefore carried out at −130 °C. The phase determination could only be accomplished using “negative quartets” (we thank Dr.E. Hädicke Ludwigshafen for use of his version of the XCSD‐SHELX program byG. M. Sheldrick. Cambridge). Refinement: R = 0.13 for 1480 reflections withI> 2.7 σ(I) isotropic temperature factors benzene rings as rigid groups. Due to the poor quality of the crystals the bond lengths quoted in the text are to be regarded as preliminary values.
